The Société des Bains de Mer wished to preserve the characteristic of Monaco’s heritage. This project entails the creation of two shelters on the terrace and a colonnade forming a gallery on the upper part of the “Les Terraces” building. The shelters or “kiosks” are used to access retail areas and are completely glazed for greater lightness and to preserve the views of the port of Monaco. A traditional-style cast iron and steel structure supports a patina copper roof in perfect harmony with the nearby Hôtel de Paris and Opera.
